Marriage Reality

One thing that takes a lead role in your day when you are sitting @ home is watching TV. While for many TV is sukh-dukh ka saathi, I never was much in love with it (partly coz mom was always watching her tear jerkers.)

But these days, she doesn’t watch dos Balaji soaps (which incidentally have seem to have lost der winning streak on the iodiot box). Flavor of the season are Wedding reality shows.

This trend started with Rakhi ka swayamvar where some lads came aspiring to be Mr. Rakhi Sawant and did all sort of ‘tasks’ light years away from any hubby stuff. Ofcourse der was usual dose of drama with some 21 yr olds (!!!) and Mr. Already married. All this along with usual dosage of tears and patented lines of Ms. Sawant.

But while I thought this was it, channels seemed to see this as a golden egg…combine reality shows with marriage concept…enters Perfect Bride. Some regular wannabe brides (one of them is like 20 yrs ol…is dis an ambition!) live with a bunch of Mammas and mamma’s boys. And whats more, des ppl can get eliminated too by public voting! So now you decide who should marry who!

And another show takes your marital status negligible with testing your parent potential. Some celeb couples (including Ms. Sawant and her hand-picked-potential-hubby.) are given a baby to take care of and ders no nanny or cook or anyone else to help. I saw an episode today and they were given some kinda pregnancy bags (like body suits) which they have to wear. Apparently they are of 15 kgs and while wearing it, they will feel nausea, aching feet, and even kick of the ‘baby’! CRAP…its like one fine morning you woke up and you are 9 months pregnant!

Seriously…what is TV coming too. You know Im actually missing all dos soap dramas. This is like 1000 times worse!

You know what really reaaaaaaally made me scream? I saw a TVC of Rahul Mahajan ka swayamvar- Rahul dulhaniya le jayega.

Aaaaaarrrghhhhh!!!

Kill me plzzz ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
